The village is situated on the edge of the Cotswolds in an area of outstanding natural beauty about 10 miles east of Bristol and 7 miles north of Bath.
There are about 140 houses in the Parish and an estimated population of about 320. Farming is now only practiced by a few families and the majority of the working population are employed in Bath or Bristol. The village has an active social calendar focused in various events at the Village Hall and a popular Summer Fete. It remains a close-knit active and welcoming community.
In the heart of the village is The Cross House, a warm and friendly pub which has been extensively refurbished to a very high standard. Highly recommended!
See the Doynton Village webpage for all the local information.
